Anyone Bought a New PowerMac Yet?

I was wondering if anyone actualy has a new PowerMac yet?

If so, how do they run?

I'm still trying to decide if i should get a dual 2 or use all my money and get a Quad 2.5.

Anyone on here know how well other Apps will work over 4 processors?

More specificly, does anyone on here know how well audio Apps like ProTools 7 might work with the new Quads?

I don't want to spend alot of money to find programs are still a few years behind and can only use 2 processors properly.

Actually that's the ship by date... don't forget delivery time.

And don't forget that Apple could surprise everyone and get the first ones out after only 3 weeks. Or they could surprise no one and be late.

When did you order yours? And was it a CTO unit? I did a CTO on the 19th with an order time or 9:51AM PDT. And yes, mine says ship by the 17th as well.

I always forget about the delivery time...I just want this computer, I ordered mine as CTO on the 19th at 2:33 PM with the status of "Processing Order"

CWONLINE.co.uk say they have the new systems in stock (and they just knocked off about £200 of the older stock).

I emailed them to ask if they had them in their hands now or not.

Yeah thats what i meant, didnt look at the Quad since i cant afford one. I don't want to drool at stuff i cant afford and all that


I want to see a review of the new PowerMacs, like what Hard Drives they are using, do they have less fans? Quieter? ect.
