Hello,

I've been in a dispute with O2 and tonight just sorted my iPhone upgrade to a 32GB 3Gs with a hefty sum of money off.

They are sending my phone out Monday.

I am hopeful since 3.1.3 has only been out since the beginning of the month, I will be lucky and get an iPhone with 3.1.2 so I can jailbreak (if I can't JB I won't want it, as I HATE the Apple UI so much that I won't want the phone).

I'm wondering if anyone has ordered an iPhone from O2, over the phone or online, very recently (<2weeks) and what firmware did it have?

I'm not fussed about it being a tethered jailbreak or not, just jailbreak-able.

Thanks

*fingers crossed*

ummm i got a iphone 3gs from apple on friday and it had 3.1.2. but as soon as i plugged it into itunes it updated my firmware. just need to wait and see what you get a suppose when it comes through :)

why buy an iPhone if you hate the UI so much anyway??

From a hardware point of view the phone is dreadful its only the UI that saves them.

That's great news. I imagine it had the newer boot rom though, with a tethered jailbreak? They introduced that at the end of 2009 so I'd be really golden if I had that as well.

As long as it comes with 3.1.2 I'm happy.

But wait, it force updated without even asking you?

I already have a Blackberry but I like the iPhone for web browsing, viewing HTML e-mail, Facebook and using the iTunes store on the move. Apps and the maps app are also a big help.

umm i don't know anythin except it was 3.1.2 lol. there was an option to tether but it disappeared!

and yeah, genius activated it. went home plugged into itunes and started updating firmware.
