Anyone connecting your MBP to a LCD Screen that has no VGA slot

I have a dell 30 inch display that does not have a VGA slot. I know they dont make a DVI to DVI cable for MBPs. So my question is does anyone know where can I buy the adapter to convert the VGA to DVI so I can connect to my 30 inch screen. I bought the mini DVI to DVI converter thinking it was for the MBP but its only for the MB. Any help would be great thanks.

The macbook pro has a DVI port on the right side. Any DVI cable should work, I would have to assume.

Why don't you get a DVI to DVI cable at Walmart? Worked for me.

If you do have a MBP all you need is a male to male DVI cable. Like this one:

That is a dual link compatible cable able to support the resolution of the 30"

yeah....you don't need to use the VGA converter. You can just go right from MBP to Display using a DVI-DVI cable.

Ok great thanks so say I wanted to connect my laptop to my big screen could i use a DVI to HDMI cable? Since my TV has 3 HDMI slot thanks again.

Yeah, that should work. If not, it's an issue with your television.
