I'd like to see if they line up right or if there are height differences.

EDIT: assuming they release a Mini DVI to Mini Display Port adapter.

EDIT #2: After looking at the tech specs, looks like the 24" iMac is still taller then the new LED ACD. So close, yet so far.

I was quite interested in this as well. Thanks for doing the sleuth work. I suppose it will still look fine, but it could have been so much cleaner if it lined up just right.

I wish the height of the 24" iMac was a couple inches lower, the new 24" will probably be just right.

I think it would be cool to have some sort of riser / dock under the monitor that you can dock the laptop into and will make it the same height as the iMac.

Just might work......

Although looks like it's still .66 of a inch to short (stand (1.0") + ACD (18.84"))

i reckon when new iMacs come out then they will be exactly the same size as the cinema screen.

This was my first thought when I saw the new displays...but thinking about it...i agree with the guy above, Apple are probably gonna move the iMac in the direction of that ACD. Not big bottom bit etc.

makes sense, that way GFX designers can have two identical displays to work with side by side
