Loved the first one. Somewhat simplistic gameplay, but amazing visuals and level design. Crossing my fingers that the sequel is just as good.

So we've basically given a 10 year old game a lick of paint and kept the gameplay as archaic as ever.

Alice felt fresh, Alice Madness Returns feels like a game producer ( American McGee who was lauded as some guru) who has struggled to finish & produce anything of any great consequence (oz etc..) in the intervening period since Alice's release and has settled for rehashing his one idea that he did finish, but has no new ideas of how to make any real gameplay refreshments and is stuck in a sad little time bubble.

American McGee seemed to be a man of many visions of gaming. However reality is sadly American McGee, the man with 1 vision of gaming.....

It's one of the saddest epic fails in gaming and a sad inditement of modern gaming and of the once lauded creative genius.

Gotta agree with MacRumorUser on this one.

First game was absolutely amazing. I loved it. It had great graphics for the time, fun gameplay, stellar music.

But that was 10 years ago. It looks like it's going to be more of the same type of game with a new coat of paint. That doesn't really cut it. Especially not if they're going to try to charge $60 for it. I'll wait and see myself. Maybe rent it for the Xbox. PC game prices drop rapidly, so maybe I'll pick up the PC version once its hit the $20-$30 mark.

They really should have made this game 5 or 6 years ago.
