the company I work for bought a support contract from Apple for crazy amount of money and it has been next to worthless.

In one incident, I reported a problem and their response was, "Oh yeah, thats a bug, you will have to figure out a workaround"(which I did no thanks to them) and still charged me an incident for it!

I once tried their phone support and the guy said, "well, this is advanced, so you will have to use the terminal", like I was some clueless person who couldn't even figure out how to enter a command.

Now we are having problems getting our Leopard clients to talk to our Tiger Open Directory server, so we opened up a ticket with Apple 8 days ago. It took them 3 days just to come back and ask for some files, which I promptly supplied, and now over a week after the fact that haven't even had 1 single idea or even asked for any more information! They are ignoring us despite the fact that we paid a ton of money for this support contract and even more on the tons of Apple equipment!

Just more proof that Apple is getting way too arrogant. Feel free to share your frustration with their service here.

i dont have a company apple support contract, me is just me and i went into an apple store recently and had kept grab copies of the screen which showed that the battery was going south....thus proved a new battery was put in.....i left and got back home and didnt use it till the next day, when i turned it on and went to go into my documents folder....THERE WAS NOTHING!!!!!!!' WHERE THERE SHOULD HAVE BEEN AT LEAST THREE DOZEN FOLDERS THERE WAS NOTHING A TOTAL OF 14GB GONE! unfortunately i have various issues and i can't entirely recall what i did...did i mistakenly erase the contents....so i tried to back track the issue and went back to the apple store...and asked a genuis about this...and got a "how dare you make such an accusation, our emoployees would never do this to a customer" line, he so over did this that i had to wonder did he? He simply would not give me any answer and i am not that computer skilled to know...so i literally made copies of my backup document on my seagate 500 and then did a USB mode then target disc mode and then copy mode and these all took at least more than 10 minutes which i dont recall that happening but the gut feeling that Apple has been making its product more prone to being delted erased or covertly copied- with the right Apple input...no ones even touched on the larger picture and that is that our societies are getting less and less freedom based and more and more government spying.....take the airplane traveler no fly list as an example what if apple has some access to such a list and as compared that list to all its product owners and flagged those on no fly lists to their computers and in practice when that person came into an apple store are they treated with suspicion and are their materials copied.....i for one would make a copy of my apple contents and then reinstall the OSX if I had to give it to apple for repair because i simply do not trust them....of course if you are a professional and drive a nice expensive car they might think twice before copying the contents of your computer but i dont.....and i dont trust them at all....when i hobble into their store using my two canes they look at me like i'm an escapee from an institution and looking for something to steal...take this macrumors---do you know that every damn time i go to reply to anyone i press submit and get a havent logged in crap and i have to relog in each time...why are they forcing me to do this=big brother

Oh, you fail. You fail so hard.

Yup have to agree with that.

This is the same person who falsly accuse OWC with having poor service. See locked thread:

Need a picture of this person so I can post it in the FAIL thread.

FYI, Mac Geninus technicians are trained and tested annually, which is more frequently (and a lot more difficult) than motor vehicle license renewals.
