For the last few months, I've been getting a lot of random spam into my .mac account. It has been on various topics: Nigerian scams, prescriptions, etc. When I look at the recipient field, the message is only being sent to @mac.com addresses with usernames starting with the letter "a." I try to limit when I use my mobileme account online, so it seems as if people are now able to somehow get a hold of a list of usernames. It certainly is not coming in huge amounts, but getting one or two every week is enough to become annoying. Is anyone else experiencing similar problems?

I get maybe 4-5 "blank" emails per week. No subject, no message content, no sender listed. When I view the raw email data, usually the subject line shows it's spam. Guess MobileMe is filtering it.

No, Actually I've never gotten a single spam message since I bought .Mac about a year and a half ago. That seems pretty strange to me though. I would e-mail Mobile me support and see what they say.

That's happened to me twice so far, and it's very strange....

I've not gotten any spam...ever...on my MobileMe/.Mac email, but when I get it on my Gmail account, it frequently has only Gmail accounts beginning with "s" in the "to" field. I think that's just how a lot of spammers operate.

My mother and I have been getting blank emails from what appears to be "no one" and no message content... Very irritating

After several spam-free years, I've started to get a few emails a day in the last few weeks. Not just to my main address, but to one of my aliases too.

If it continues, it'll be just the push I need to finally cancel the service and save myself a few quid.

Spam is awesome!

I never used to get spam before...

One I got offered a GREAT WATCH - CHEAP!. Can't wait till it arrives!

Another has offered a little blue pill called "Viagra" - Never heard of it before... I ordered some (my wife can't wait)!

The best one of all is from some guy that wants me to help him cash a check for $1,000,000,000,000. I GET HALF!

Spam is awesome! (This sucks, I never used to get this crap)...

Same here. I don't think I've ever publicly used my MobileMe email address before, so I have no clue how they're spamming it, unless it's just blunt force guessing.

I've never received any until about a week ago when I renewed. Now I'm getting several per day, as well as the blank emails.. :( I really just use it for the galleries at the moment, but suddenly starting to get spam sucks

Since June when I started using MobileMe, I have never gotten one piece of spam mail. I am also very careful of who gets it online. Most places get my old free throw away email accounts.

Yes, I've been getting a lot of spam with my .Mac account lately. At least three a week. And normally they have to do with women wanting to have sex with me, and they always have a link to a google group in them.

I've been getting them, too. Apple isn't filtering them, though. I did the "Live Chat" thing a couple of months ago, and the answer was, essentially, "We know about them and the only solution is to delete them."

i've had this too, it's really annoying. i've noticed if you sign in on me.com once you have selected a message as Junk then next to the "Not Junk" button there now appears a "Report as Spam" button, which as far as I can tell just let's Apple know you have marked it as Spam (whereas when I market an item as Junk it gets moved to my Junk Mail folder, marking it as Spam once I've done this apparently doesn't do anything, so I assume it's purpose is to let Apple know)

I've been doing this every time I get a blank email (with full headers that make it pretty obvious it was supposed to be spam), but still none of them are caught out by Apple's SPAM filters (ie. they aren't automatically listed as junk)
