Yes, its mainly Music and Snapchat. However when battery drain occurs it shows Stand-by time the same as Usage time. This tells me the phone never 'rests' even when the screen is off. There is some bad code causing my iPhone to constantly stay awake and process something when asleep.Nope. Not here.
Have you checked this see which apps are consuming the most battery?
Background app refresh is not the same thing as apps running in the background. If you don't manually quit Snapchat, it will continue to run in the background. Most apps will continue to run in the background unless you close them, even with BAR off. Background refresh isn't exactly what you think it is.Yes, its mainly Music and Snapchat. Since Background app refresh is disabled, I don't know if its due to a specific app, or due to the OS itself.
I get battery drain at least once a day on my iPhone 7 since IOS 10.3.
The only solution is to reset my phone, but then it will reappear within a few hours.
Any solutions? I disabled background app refresh but no success.
For me, when I open the maps app, the GPS gets stuck and not even force closing the app or a reboot would turn it off. iOS 10.3.3 beta 1 here and yes I reported it to Apple. Check your GPS.
Just looked at my phone and the GPS indicator is solid white. Does that mean it's stuck? I only use Waze for mapping and close the app once i'm done using it.
Same usage and Stdby indicates an app is hung running. Check iCloud and maybe log it out and back in. Or turn off safari sync and things like that. Sometimes iCloud will hang or stick uploading pics etc and cause that issue. Also mail can cause the same issue. turn off mail acct(s) and reboot then turn back on and see if that clears it. Resetting network settings can help as well or even reset all settings.Yes, its mainly Music and Snapchat. However when battery drain occurs it shows Stand-by time the same as Usage time. In the status bar you either get a solid indicator when actively in use or the outlined indicator when in geofence type of use. To actually see what might be using the service you would have to go to the location services screen in settings and check on what app or system service might be using it.I referenced that chart before posting. Clearly that is a legend for the Location Services menu, not the status bar.
Apparently not so clear.I referenced that chart before posting. Clearly that is a legend for the Location Services menu, not the status bar.

brb, going to wait for the purple or grey icons to appear in my status bar.
His remark was disingenuous and an attempt at a sarcastic jab in my direction.Status bar icons don't ever turn purple.
