I don't like where they put the camera on the ipod nano. If i'm holding it upright with thumb on menu button and fingers wrapped around back, i'm covering the camera. the cam should be up at top behind the video image.

if i turn my wrist to record, my fingers are still in the way. I then have to use my left and to hold and use right hand on the edge of ipod, to make sure nothing gets in the way of cam.

If cam was on top, ten you could record without ever moving your fingers or repositioning you hand. It could completely be used with just one hand.

I was ready to buy , but now having 2nd thoughts

I think a lot of people do but the position of the cam has to have much to do with the thinness of the nano and the lack of space behind the screen to put a camera. It's difficult to handle at best, I've tried one for a brief moment and right away my fingers were all over the lens.

Either way, I don't think they could have moved it elsewhere due to size limitations.

The position is a little inconvenient, I admit.

I plan on using this instead of my MiniDV camcorder on my next vacation. I'm not a pro or anything, so I'm not worried about the limited resolution, and the small size of the nano is a BIG plus for me. I'll just have to get used to the lens position.

I think the Position is due to two things.

1. Screen takes the room up at the top, therefore it must be on the bottom.

2.Then i figured since most people are going to use it in landscape, the camera is put onto the left which, when rotated, will move it to the top.

Yes it would be nice to hold it upright, but to keep the slimness, its nessacary to keep it on the lower half.
