if apple used UPS I could call and have my package held for me after 1 delivery attempt. with fedex I have to wait for 3 attempts and then it's held at a ridiculous warehouse way out in brooklyn. so annoying

It's either TNT or UPS in the UK, both of which seem ok and quite flexible. There's nothing worse than couriers, that won't be helpful.

FedEx is far better than UPS.

They offer even faster service and more pickup choices. That's why Apple uses them.

It's generally a good idea to become familiar with who you're doing business with.

I have bad luck with UPS. Packages come at 9pm, beat up, etc.

FedEx may not be perfect, but better for me.

this is pretty common. I think apple gets the tracking info way before the product is actually ready to go. Now that it.s moving it wont be long before it gets to alaska and then tennessee. usually is on it's way to your city by monday night I'd guess.

looks like my only option is to presign for the shipment. I called apple and changed the delivery address to my work but I don't think it went through as it's still showing delivery to my home online.

Yeah, but look, at least it has a head start on you. It is 10/25 there ;)
It usually goes to hong kong next, then alaska where it moves fast.
