For every little detail that is not urgent or even important enough to notify you via a email?

I can't stand that. Every site/message board/software I register on does this. It's like spam. It must have something to do with the ads in the email and increasing the likelihood of you clicking a link to their website in the email thereby increasing their traffic.

1.) this has nothing to do with iphones.

2.) learn how to use forum settings properly and this will be a non-issue. the only emails i ever get from any forum i have ever subscribed to are thread subscriptions. emails in general are always turned off by default for me otherwise.

Not a clue. Moved to Internet discussion :p

Lol thx. I still think its most relevant to iPhone as it has absolutely nothing to do with Apple or the Internet compared to its relevance to iPhone users. But whatever, I guess moderators need something to do.

The more a website bugs you about its content, the more you'll go on it. And then there is more chance of you haphazardly clicking on an ad.

If you don't know how to unsubscribe from emails then you are either a noob on the webz or don't read anything anywhere when you register for an account. Every single forum has controls regarding email communication. Stop whining and go find them.

Dude I know how to unsubscribe, that's not my point. It's annoying that the default is to bombard you with emails for every little detail.

Yeah that makes sense. Thank you, the first reasonable answer.
