Just curious how many people have had a reaction similar to mine.
When it was unveiled, I thought the watch looked ridiculous and I couldn't believe the R&D that went into designing something so underwhelming and indistinguishable from competitors. I was completely let down and disappointed by Apple and had no intentions of buying one...
Now, the more I've looked at it, the more it's grown on me. I've come to appreciate it as another carefully designed Apple product and I'm now realizing the attention to subtle details that I've come to love in the things they create. If you go through the photo galleries enough, it really starts to wear on you. And after really delving into the software features, I have decided I MUST have one.
I already wear a watch and feel naked without it, so it seems like a natural progression to switch to an Apple Watch to get even more data at a glimpse. It can apparently be paired with bluetooth headphones and has internal storage for music, so you'll be able to go for a run and listen to music wirelessly. I'm sure someone will develop a watchband that has a GPS tracker in it for the watch, if there isn't some sort of small bluetooth GPS tracker already on the market that can be paired with the watch.
Apple Pay looks awesome too. You'll be able to use the watch to make the payments without removing your iPhone from your pocket to scan your finger. The watch will use a pin number to activate Apple Pay but as soon as you remove the watch from your wrist, the sensors on the back detect you are no longer making skin contact with the device and will require your pin to activate Apple Pay again. Clever.
Controlling appliances and appliance timers with "Glimpses" makes it unnecessary to wake up the watch and navigate to an app for controlling said appliances. Glimpses are quickly accessible by simply swiping at the home screen.
I can see this becoming a must have device. Now, I can't even wait for it to come out. I want one now!
