About the orange and green indicators in your iPhone status bar - Apple Support With iOS 14 or later, an orange dot, an orange square, or a green dot indicates when the microphone or camera is being used by an app. support.apple.com Quick google searching for "iphone half blue dot" brings up numerous results including this one which i think explains your issue :- Blue Circle 🔵 in Safari - Apple Community discussions.apple.com Reactions: podfrog and fisherking

Weird UX as at first I thought it was dead pixels or some gunk on my screen. Much easier to see after taking a screenshot and zooming in, but is super tiny on the actual iPhone screen.
