Anyone else have lots of interference and static coming from the headphone jack?

Apple is replacing my MBP because of this but i'm just wondering if this is a widespread issue. Whenever there is any audio coming through the headphone jack using earbuds I hear constant static and occasional weird interference noises like pops, crackles, and rings. This also happens for about 1 minute after a song or video is paused or stopped and then the interference goes away.

Anyone else have this issue?

Others have posted about this issue. Apparently it's because the audio jacks aren't shielded and get interference from the rest of the machine's innards. It's unknown if Apple is addressing this.
