After updating to iOS 9 my GPS in both Google Maps and Apple Maps is having trouble locating me while driving and seems to always have me pointing in the wrong direction or one or two roads over from where I actually am.

Yeah, mine is off in running apps. I googled and found a few reports for different apps so I'd suggest it is something with iOS9. My run this morning produced straight lines between points rather than actual route and then cut off a chunk at the end.

I've updated to 9.0.2 this afternoon so will try it again on Sunday.

Also having issues - Google maps is unable to track me accurately with my 6s+ while driving. It's terrible actually.

Yea I get this with Uber after updating to iOS9. The iPhone location icon is usually thousands of feet away from where I actually am. Does this occasionally in GoogleMaps as well.

I've noticed this as well. Just moved to a new city and I therefor use Google maps to get around town, and it has been very inaccurate on multiple occasions. It has made me walk too far or in the wrong direction.

I have new iPhone 6s and new iOS 9.1 and a I have problems with my GPS that I never had before with any iPhone. I was driving with Navigon navigation and after half an hour of driving I lost GPS signal. Since this time I was not able to get good signal reception even if I was in open area without any trees or buildings od tunnels etc... I had to perform hard reset and restore network settings and it worked again for a while. If I use for example Google maps, I see drifting of my position. What to do? Is it problem of my new iPhone 6s or is it problem of iOS 9.xx? Any idea? Any application, that can measure GPS signal, how to make it objective?

Sorry for doublepost, but I want to open this problem with new informations. The strengths of GPS signal seems to be related to LTE/4G switched on. When LTE/4G is switched off, the accuracy seems to be much better. Please test it!

See this (from Apple discussion):
In France we also have this problem of GPS interference on iPhone 6S/6S+. This for now only happens with mobile operators that use specific frequencies for 4G network. If you search for "4G GPS interference" you'll see it's not a new fact ...
A temporary solution is to set the iPhone in 3G when you use your GPS, otherwise GPS signal goes on and off for any application after 15 or 30 min.
Some people reinstalled the iPhone or made an exchange of the iPhone, but this was useless.
No solution has been given to us for now, mobile operators have reported the problem to Apple but we don't have any more information

I live in Tucson, AZ and I have the described problem. Never had this issue before. I'm a flight instructor and have used the GPS function at up to altitudes of 10500' and never lost lock. Now it doesn't function for more than 5-10 minutes before the signal degrades and is quickly lost. I've owned the 4, 5, 6 and never had an issue. Just wanted to let people know it's happening here in the US also.
