Anyone else having problems with UK delivery?

Hey,

My MBP started shipping on the 9th. And so far it has only got 19 miles away to Pudong International Airport where it has stayed since the 10th..

Now, the message that it is showing on that bit is this:

10 Nov 2006 12:00 Pudong International Airport Potential Linehaul Delay Due To Technical Problems

I have also noticed, that since just before the C2D MB's came out, i have been unable to access the Order Status page on the Apple website...

Could this be the "Technical Problems" that is holding up the delivery?
Anyone else experencing this?

The techincal problems do seem to suggest it will hold up...

What is your ETA?
Mine took 3 weeks to come,, but arrived on apples ETA to my suprise

Also the tracking seems to be somewhat out of date some time!

Mine (15") shipped out as due on 9th. The Apple tracking is back up but tells you very little as far as I can see. Using apecode.com my order is scheduled as 'flight booked' for today 12th. Is this the tracking you are using?

wow, thats really weird...

while i was writing the first post, the order status area was down... now its back up!! thanks for pointing that out!!!

Well, it turns out that they have moved the eta to the 15th, wednesday, which would be perfect for me as i only have 2 lectures at college that day so i could skip and wait in

I'm using the TNT tracking.. Its the carrier that is, well, carrying it to me!!

How did you find out that it's being shipped by TNT? I don't see any reference to the delivery company on my Apple tracking. But when I put in the 10-digit Delivery reference number to the TNT site - nothing. What are you getting on apecode?

on the Apple tracking page it says at the bottom left: Assigned Carrier - TNT

and then it gives a carrier code..

The TNT main site doesnt work apparently.. i phoned up apple cos i was getting the wrong order when i used that.. you need to go to http://www.tnt.com/country/en_generic.html and then enter the code, making sure you select the "Reference" checkbox!

I dont get anything with apecode.... is that just an american thing?

I've ordered some other bits and pieces from Apple which are already in the country. When the MBP gets here from China the whole order will be merged. This may be why I'm getting no details yet on my assigned carrier It just says: In transit to final destination - carrier details to be updated shortly.

Have you ordered anything else or is it just the MBP? I think it might be that TNT is shipping all the way from China in your case.

No the apecode is not just an American thing. Try putting in your Delivery Reference number (not your TNT code) and see if you get anything. Perhaps because you've already been assigned to TNT you may not.

Yeah, I ordered a Wireless Mighty Mouse as well, but not in the same order. I ordered that on the 9th, and it arrived on the 10th

Nope, my Delivery Reference Number does not bring up anything on apecode either..

Very odd.

I'll post when/if I get an update on my flight out. As we were both shipped out of the factory on 9th it would be strange if we were not on the same flight.

BTW I've read that the eta is the time it gets to the distribution point in this country, not necessarily the day you'll get it on your doorstep. My Apecode eta is 16th, same as yours, but my Apple tracking eta is 20th. But as your order does not have to be merged you may be lucky.

EDIT: Take a look at Trippy's 'Got to be kidding me..' thread on the apecode forum. Gives you an idea of the carrier routes and timings. He seems to be 2 days ahead of my order (and yours).

Mine was shipped on Nov. 8th, and is also stuck in Pudong apparently. ETA was 14th, which then moved to 13th - but I'm not holding my breath.

The TNT page hasn't been updated for me since the 9th. I'm not sure what's happening now, if it is still stuck, or if the TNT page is out of date.

Maybe we're all waiting for the same flight..

I called TNT yesterday and asked if I could come and pick it up to save 2 days on the delivery time, they said that they were perfectly happy for people to do that, but mine had already been loaded onto a truck for delivery, and couldn't be unloaded for security reasons. So if you live near, and get in quick, you can get it early.

That means I will have to wait until the end of the week (although the ETA was tuesday once...!)

I just gave TNT a call. The website shows outdated info (still in Pudong according to the site) - on the phone they told me mine had left Frankfurt yesterday ! woo.. could be here today or tomorrow...

I suggest you call them if the webtracker shows old info (tel: 0800100600)

Problem is I haven't yet been assigned a carrier so it might not be TNT and even if it was I don't have a carrier number to quote at them.

I think it may be the case that if you are only having stuff from China delivered you get TNT (or whatever) assigned from that point. Therefore you can track on their site and you don't feature on apecode.com. But because I've got some other stuff which is already waiting for me in Daventry, it's only there that I'll get TNT. In the meantime I have to use apecode.com which tracks Flextronics Logistics (I think.)

This is how I've pieced it together anyhow, but maybe others know better. In the meantime my MBP is stuck on the tarmac in Shanghai where it's been sitting (seatbelt fastened) since yesterday

ape says it was delivered 11th - so presume that means the mbp is at daventry
