Hey Guys,

I have a 15" RMBP Mid 2012 with a 650m in it. I am running into a few problems and wanted to see if anyone else was experiencing the same. For the record, I did a clean install of Yosemite after these problems arose to see if if it was an upgrade problem and they persist.

Boot Times:
My boot time even with my SSD is now significantly longer than Mavericks. I was thinking that File Vault (Pretty sure that's the name) is behind the delay. I am not really sure how to go about testing this, but after logging in, that progress bar stays on for at least ten seconds before getting into my desktop.

Temperatures:
Since installing Yosemite, I have been getting idle temperatures of at least 10C higher than my normal Mavericks temperatures. I am not sure how to explain it, as I don't see the CPU being taxed or any problems other than that. Doing nothing it idles around 50C and if I open safari without doing anything it automatically jumps 10C for just safari. I have no idea what's causing it but maybe others are experiencing the same.

Dedicated GPU:
I see my dedicated GPU switch on and off all the time. For example, I went to change my wallpaper, started scrolling a folder I have and the dedicated gpu turned on. Then the screen flashed, and the integrated came back. This happened a bunch of times while scrolling the list. Fearing a hardware issue I decided to run an Apple Hardware Diagnostic and it came back clean. I am not sure if it's a software issue, as I also run into it on Safari and a few others applications that don't normally use my dedicated GPU.

Music Controls:

While listening to iTunes I find that pressing skip track, or pause or back, there is a noticeable delay between my press and the reaction of the system. This didn't exist on Mavericks but no idea what's happening.

If anyone else is having these issues, please feel free to comment with suggestions or just letting us know that I am not the only one.

Thanks!

Okay I did same...(note: for late 2009 macbook unibody 2.26,stock 5400rpm hd)

-My boot time is longer also (37 secs till apple logo and 1:09 till full bootup)

-My temps are the same

-Dedicated GPU (does not pertain to my macbook)

-I'm not noticing and delay (but never checked the difference compared to Mav)

Some similar issues

Mid 2012 rMBP with 250GB and 8 MB ram running OS X 10.10.

My boot times aren't different that I've noticed. Temps are unchanged, again from what I've noticed. Graphics are bizarre. I've gotten graphic card error warnings and I'm unsure if they are referring to the card or on-board graphics. When browsing some images/banners will not load or be partially loaded or load with character errors laced throughout the image. Do also get the screen flicker. All seen in Safari.

Also having lots of Wifi hiccups where the connection is still up, but no content is being transferred. I can run the diagnostics on the connection and verify that the connection is working but neither Mail, Safari or Chrome will transfer data. Then, poof, it will work.

Also Safari seems to freeze. I can type in a URL or click on the recent links. No loading, no response (other than the blue background in the address bar). I can open Chrome and it will work.

Are you seeing the Wifi or the Safari issues?

Since updating to 10.10 I've had

WIFI dropping.
Crashes in Safari and Firefox on a regular basis.
The odd Kernel Panic. Not had this since doing a re-install.
