I'm impressed, but it could have been a little better with main F1.5.
I think the cameras will be stellar.

I'm disappointed simply because of the 11's ultra wide angle. I was hoping for the regular wide and tele like the X/Xs. The tele is much better suited for portraiture.

You needed 2 threads within 5 mins of each other to discuss the cameras?
I'm creating some threads for long term conversations.
Don't get mad, time will move the thread to the next pages in minutes if it's not interesting.

Yes! They look amazing. I wish they'd bring out a smaller version, but if my SE died today (hope not), I'd be ordering an 11 Pro.

Oh, actually, £1200! No I wouldn't!

Ultra wide is cheaper than the tele; S10e is the same way.

That's strange, because usually ultra wide lenses are more expensive than 52mm (equivalent) lenses. The "tele" lens of the iPhone is really just a standard lens.

Won’t know until there is some real reviews on it. Apple has made every event sound revolutionary for each iPhone lol

Of course the technology is impressive in and of itself, but I'm not impressed enough by anything they are offering with the new iPhones, or most of their new products in general, to buy them. Probably because I don't care about cameras, and I don't care about taking selfies. I find the cameras in the SE to be completely sufficient. I am more drawn by design, and I will be impressed when the notch disappears and the screen is truly edge to edge. I am mostly waiting for a MacBook at a reasonable price with a reliable keyboard (new keyboard design), and until them I will live with my ancient SE and 2014 MacBook Air even though I could easily buy anything they currently offer... I just feel no reason to do so.

I expected the wide angle. I don't know, look...the photos (and videos) ALWAYS look 1000x better in these Apple Events. And don't get me wrong ,I do like my Xs Max as an "on the fly" camera, especially daytime shots.

Videos - I like how FiLMiC Pro works with this, that seemed pretty cool. I love that app.

What i REALLY want to see is how "Night Mode" looks in the real world.
- Not some example in a presentation.

I’m impressed with the Pro. I think I will be buying one. The new camera system, video, new screen tech and up to 5 hours more battery life have sold it too me.

I'm using an iPhone 8 and my wife has a 7. We want to upgrade for better cameras. Is the 11 worth skipping the now-cheaper XR? I've never used the camera on an XR to compare.

I think they figured that it's possible to create portraits using the normal wide thanks to computational photography that will crop the image and blur the background, but you can't capture a wider field of view in one shot without an ultrawide lens. Their approach allows iPhone 11 users to basically have the ultrawide, wide, and portraits covered, but the iPhone 11 Pro will give you higher resolution telephoto shots and portraits. In some situations the iPhone 11 Pro will probably handle focus transitions better as well.
