I love top sites and I was hoping that they might improve it this year with live websites.

Instead its gone

Yes the favourites is ok I admit, but top sites looked cooler and I've now got years of muscle memory to undo lol.

Isn't Frequently Visited same as Top Sites?

Safari is reworked in a minimal way so frequently visited are now standing for top sites, you can untick Favorites (by right click) to see the whole frequently visited only.
