After seeing the disastrous results of IOS 11 on a 6+ and a 6S in my family, I have so far still been reluctant to install IOS 11 on my 7+. I really don't want to buy a new phone now and don't want to see it slow down. (for example on the 6+ it takes a couple of second (not moments, SECONDS) to open the camera an take a pic - needless to say often by the time the camera is working it is too late for the pic...

So, anyone else still sitting on the fence? Or are my fears unfounded?

I have an iPhone SE and went to iOS 11. I used to brag how great the battery was. But iOS 11 ruined it.

So what I did was buy iPhone X. I was long overdue for an updated phone coz I have been using iPhone 5 from 2012-2016 and SE after that.

Battery life on my iPhone X is good, but it’s a letdown and a disappointment, it could be better. iOS 11 is the culprit.

So don’t update to iOS 11

iOS 11 made my 5S glitchy and slow, and also reduced battery life. Fortunately I was able to downgrade it to iOS 10.2 and it was back to normal.

I wouldn’t update if I were you. I wish I could put iOS 10 on my 8 Plus. I hate the fake wifi and bluetooth toggles on iOS 11’s control center, I hate how notification center looks exactly like the lockscreen, and I miss the locksreen music screen from iOS 10.

Very pleased with iOS 11.2.2 on iPhone 7. Did a clean install, nice and fast.

Yep, but after seeing 11.2.5 videos I might finally upgrade. It seems to be on par or even faster than 10.3.3. Very smooth looking.

Or I might wait and see if 11.3 actually gives that disable battery throttling option.

Hi, I just bought a 6s 64G in 99% new condition. The previous owner works at the technical support of a big provider here in Montréal. He could be trusted. He bought the 6s new when it was on iOS 9 and, as a technician, he made all the upgrades and updates. So my 6s has iOS 11.2. Workes like a charm I must say but I will never know how better it could have run under iOS 10. Battery life is as expected: not that impressive. I had published adds saying I was looking for a 6s with iOS 10 and never had an answer. Seems that everybody hurries up to upgrade when one is pushed by Apple. Fortunately, my new 6s qualifies for a battery replacement. As many others, I'm now waiting for the battery to ships. Good to read the posts on this thread. BTW. I didn't upgrade my old 5s to 11. Kept on 10.3.3.

They already announced that it will.
Apologies, I really thought this was a joke but I have read the story now. Well remains to be seen if it really makes a big difference or if it is more like the wifi toggle in IOS11...

Yeah I don't think it will actually disable all throttling.
