Forgive me if this is a frivolous thread, but for some reason this has really bothered me. I noticed right after Sierra launched the MAS shows user reviews on and off. I figured it was just a bug with the large number of ratings that were incoming. However, even now there are no reviews on the Sierra page.

Does anyone else find that somewhat devious? (Perhaps that is not the best word)

It's shady for Apple to workaround the limitations and defects of the App Store in any ways they require developers to accept them.

There's a reason Sandboxing still sucks on a lot of edge cases. Meanwhile, Apple's own apps get a magic pass.

Mehhhhh. Having read the reviews of the OS (and so many other apps), I can see why they choose to just turn the reviews off. It's too big of a beast to place any value in reviews. Too many idiots who simply don't like one tiny little feature will give it a 1-star review. Others will give it 5 stars simply because of the Dark Mode menu bar/dock option.

It ends up being like judging a car based entirely on where the cup holder is located—which I'll grant you can be, for many people, a very real consideration... but c'mon...

While some of the reviews were idiotic majority were valid complaints or praise. I would have preferred Apple to place more strict review standards instead of removing them complitely.
