A completely maxed out MBP is around $7500 that has 8tb ssd and 128gb ram. At first I thought the price was crazy. I then compared to geek bench comparable machines and the only thing close is a windows workstation costing around 10K. Of course the MacBook Pro also has the advantage of coming with a screen and is portable. Not a bad deal all things considered? Anyone else ordering one?

I have a maxed out M1 MacBook Pro Max with 8TB and 64gb RAM--best machine I've ever owned -- and I am strongly considering upgrading. Waiting for extensive benchmarks to come in.

same here, I currently have a maxed out M1 Pro max and it had served me well as I use it for video editing and music production where I run a tremendous amount of plugins into logic. Guess the writing on teh wall is I will be upgrading to another maxed out MacBook Pro!
