This is the puppy I'm waiting for. Basically, like a thin 15" MBP with no drive, fewer ports and less power.

I'd rather have a 12" MBP - same form factor or slightly thinner than the 12" Powerbook (which is the BEST laptop they ever made, hands down).

Stupid of Jobs to kill it off.

I don't see why people think the 12" PowerBook (aka the iBook+) is so great. Where does an MBA or MB not fit that a 12" does? Even the original CD MacBook was a great replacement for the 12" PB, and blows its doors in.

The 12" PBs are clunky little bricks and their displays aren't that great.

I think a 15" MBA would be just about perfect, or make the 15" MBP a little thinner, give it the new trackpad & keyboard with the magnetic latch. Valhalla

12" MBP would be too small for me. 15" MBA would be too big. 13" MBP is where it's really at. ^_^

I'd love a 15" MBA! It's my dream laptop. A very light and portable with a big screen!

If they made MBP thinner, people would whine about the lack of powerful GPU and that it would burn their lap.

The good side of the grass.
I think the 13" is at the limits for semi-ultra-portability. A 15" would defeat the purpose. If you can lug the 15" frame around, cutting a few pounds and deleting ports wouldn't be a great seller.

As a 13" MBA owner, I have to agree with the majority of posters here... A 15" MBA would be overkill, and appeal to an even smaller demographic. At this screen size, it just wouldnt make much sense. I think a slimmer MBP... with none of the power compromised, would make an amazing 15 inch lappy.

I am hoping and dreaming for this 15 " air I want it , no ore drive and fewer ports and that equals less weight and still a big 15 inch screen and only 3.5 pounds.

yes yes yes yes yes

I will take 13 but prefer 12...

something tells me we wont see 12 again though. I feel like the move to everything widescreen with apple makes 13.3 the norm from here out

for me, it has to do with balance. Running around Laguardia and Detroit airports this week, with my 12 pb in my hand, not sleeve nothing I realized how perfect the size is. It never feels like it wants to slip out, unlike my 13.3 macbook did. And I feel like I could throw it against a wall and it would keep ticking. Just needs intel core2duo baby...

There will be a lot more people wanting a 13" Macbook Pro than people wanting a 15" Macbook Air.

You are SO right. Me? I have the perfect computer on my lap right now. My MBA 1.6/80. (it's perfect for me, and I have been buying MACS since 1984, at the rate of 1 to 2 per year):D
