Spotlight will not find any new emails or files I save.
I have tried everything including reindexing all of spotlight, doing the commands in terminal mode, cleaning caches- all they do is reupdate the spotlight index. But any new messages or files since the last reindex do not show up in spotlight.
I use spotlight primarily for email- so now it is worthless (and I feel like I am troubleshooting my old windows machine by searching online for bizarre fixes).
1) Is anyone else noticing this problem?
2) Could it be related to 10.4.10?
3) Why does Spotlight update new Apps that I download, but not new mail?
Please help this new Mac convert who got a Macbook partially because he thought Spotlight would help organize and search emails!!!
