I also posted this under the 10.15.6 announcement...

Installed 10.15.6 on the MBP 13" last night and so far so good. I do notice that while running on battery, average core temps in MenuMeters are running ~33.0C (when my computer is idling with web browser open).

Prior to the update, this system ran closer to ~39C on battery with 10.15.5. Fanny reports CPU 34.57 and GPU 37.00.

Yeah I noticed the same thing.

I have a 2018 15" MBP (2.6ghz one)that used to idle around 44c (MacsFanControl) and now it seems to be around the high 30s. Could be complete placebo and I am imagining it though but I never recall it reading in the 30s.

Whoops I noticed you said on battery mine was plugged in. Just unplugged it for 5 mins and getting 34c

Interested to see anyone else opinion on this especially those with the 2020 MBA.

would be curious of this as well

I can confirm from my 5 day trial that there is no temperature difference or performance change with the MBA 2020. Although 10.15.5 was a big difference in performance and temperature for the MBA 2020, 15.6 does not seem to have any noticeable change.
