I just got my MacBook Pro 2019 and immediately wiped Mojave and clean installed Catalina.

My internet speed though is very slow, my actual speed is 500 MBPS Down/50 MBPS up but I am only getting 10% of that.

My ROG RAPTURE GT-AX11000 router is about 10 feet away from my office which has a door but even if I open the door things don't improve. I have a 5 year ancient Dell Vostro laptop with an Intel WiFi 7260 card and it has no speed issues.

Is the WiFi chip in the Mac Book Pro 2019 weak or how do I fix this?

Sometimes on iPhone, not Mac, I just turn on Airplane, then turn back on WiFi (with Airplane mode still on). Never needed to reset router - which is also AX WIFI6 model and gets 100%+ down/up speed 'on a good day.' Not always.
