Well, I upgraded from FCP3 on my 17" PB and FCP4 takes way longer to load and it also takes waaaay longer to load projects. Also, after I installed it, it seemed to have slowed down my computer a little bit.
But, as far as rendering it seems to be about the same...and the realtime extreme is great cause so many of the effects can be viewed in the timeline(with a degration in quality).
