Only a1921 sold in USA.Interesting. I thought the At&t, t-mobile and Verizon models would be the A1921 (XS MAX) and the sim-free one the A2101 model.
Since my country will use the A2101 model, I cant buy the USA models, even the sim-free one.
So, no way I can get the A2101 in USA, right?
I noticed there are 1920 and 1921 for US Maxes. Idk why though since both models support CDMA tech.
I think the A1920 is the Xs model.
The china Hong Kong iPhone models support two physical nano SIM cards (they slide and gold plate sim face away)

Yes. Good luck finding one that isn't selling online for 2K +.OT: can we use the Hong Kong/China dual sim models in US with US carriers?
Out of curiosity, does it require the iOS update to support dual SIMs? I assume so? I hope the update goes out quick because there is one line on my account I would like to pair with another in one device (not that it matters to me what Hong Kong has as much, more like if Apple can make a point of emphasis).
Please excuse my ignorance, how is it that you have come to understand that E-SIM = carriers giving Apple a portion of their revenue?...They aren’t gonna to want to give Apple a percentage of their carrier revenue with the esim roaming charges.

“Please excuse my ignorance, how is it that you have come to understand that E-SIM = carriers giving Apple a portion of their revenue?
There is certainly some doubt over E-sim even Apple note that although your physical sim can be unlocked by your carrier there is no guarantee that the e-sim will also be unlocked“
The eSIM will be controlled by Apple and it can dictate which carriers to partner with, support and show relative mobile plans," Neil Shah, research director at Counterpoint Research, told CNBC by email on Thursday.
"So Apple can be the gatekeeper now since it will have control over eSIM. Thus it will demand a revenue cut for the activations happening through eSIM."

Basically Apple will have the carriers release their own app for people to sign up for mobile plans via App Store. Apple will demand a cut of the revenue. I suspect international roaming will be the first target for Apple. Like when I went to Europe this summer. I went to the Vodafone store in Spain to get SIM card. It was a pain to wait for service. Than they couldn’t activate it for some reason. Than I had to go Orange store down the street and they got me activated with prepaid sim. But that took an hour of my time.
Now with esim. I can probably once apple makes esim activate. I can download orange prepaid app. And sign up for service via app. I pay like 30-35€ for 6-10gb. Apple takes 10-30% of the cut since it’s in App Store. I avoid trip to store. Orange still makes easy money since it’s all done via app and they don’t have to pay store employees to activate sim for me.
