Per The Header, Really...
Has anyone actually received their 24" iMac with preinstalled Leopard on it?.

I've seen the nice box piccies on the Apple Store site.

I've heard they're 'coming soon once the old `uns have been sold ......

However to date - its all conjecture and hearsay ...

So then - a golden handshake to the first one on here to get one

And a golden shower to the last one who didnt! ;)

Cheers!

I just bout a 20 inch Imac this week. Needed to use the leopard drop in. Funny they didn't tell me that when I bought it. Upgrade is not too bad.

Went back to the apple store yesterday, and asked about this, and was told that only MAC Books are shipped with leopard.

Yes-when I ordered my iMac 24" I was heartily assured by the UK Sales guy on the phone that'd any machines ordered on 26th October and thereafter would deffo have Leopard installed. Yeah. Right. When it came last Thursday - without any notice from the TNT Couriers .. it was lucky I just happened to be in ... it was a Tiger machine with Drop-In. And certainly, `dropped' is the word. One corner of the box was so badly bashed - it had cracked the polystyrene packing inside. So its now awaiting removal back to Shanghai - and a replacement is now gonna be here in about a week. Maybe. So with luck perhaps that one will not have been used as the ball at TNT Staff room lunchtime soccer match AND might .. just MIGHT have Leopard preinstalled. Yeah. Right. Hey!. I can but hope can't I?. One day I WILL get a Mac, readers! :) Tho - `tween you and I - I do think Apple could have had the foresight to have reboxed their machines and updated `em in readiness for the big switchover on the 26th. However-I suppose it'dve been a bit of a logistical nightmare - not to mention a financial one too. Here's hoping that what will have been nearly a month since I first ordered after Leopard's release - those guys in Shanghai - might have now got around to loading up the Leopard stuff ... d'you think if I offered them a copy of Rush Hour 3 they might just oblige?. ("I think that might have the opposite effect!"-Ed)
