I haven't been able to determine for sure if you can use an iPhone without a data plan. Does anyone actually have an iPhone with a voice plan only?

Thanks.

Um, no.

Data plan is mandatory for iPhone.

And only $20 for unlimited data... That ain't bad.

No, but it can almost double your phone bill for a service that some of us might not need, and relatively slow compared to wi-fiing at a hot spot. I just want a cell phone/PDA/iPod combo. If I want to connect to the internet, I'll go to a hot spot.

I remember signing up for an Audiovox PPC6600 PDA phone and having to get a data plan. It cost me 60 bucks a month and I never even used the internet on the phone. I just used it as a PDA because i didn't want to carry around a PDA and a phone on my belt.

Lame

Excuse me but did you say DOUBLE your phone bill? A $20 unlimited data plan? Um... how on earth are you getting cell service for just $20 a month? And if so, why on earth are you considering one of the most expensive phones you can find? Seems silly to me. :p
