I have set it up but I am unable to get it to work, other Macs still try to download updates from the Apple server?

This is all the info I have found, to be honest it's way too overly complicated?

I used to have this running on an older Mac running an older macOS, but it's not as straight forward now on a 2019 iMac running Monterey 12.3.1 (could it be more security blocks)

Update,
Updated Pages on the main iMac, Updated Pages on MacBook Pro and it worked, took seconds to download.
Working on app updates but not system updates?

Update,
12.4, All updated, content caching working on intel and M1 Macs now.
Only issue is with Silentknight XProtect, MRT, Gatekeeper updates,
You have to turn off content caching for SilentKnight updates to download then turn back on and reboot.
