Anyone have keyboard problems on the macbook?

So it seems that sometimes when i'm using my macbook some of the keystrokes don't register...I have to hit the key multiple times or press down really hard for it to work and it's getting really annoying...

however , when I do a restart of my computer, it seems to fix the problem...and then at a later time it starts up again...anyone else have this kinda problem or am I the only one ?

I guess you're using the built in keyboard, right? Is the computer under heavy load when it starts ignoring your input? Do you have the same problem with the trackpad or mouse? Do you have any key changers installed?

Computer is not really under heavy load, I mean i'm never doing more than surfing and music perhaps....and I upped the ram to 2gb so it better be able to handle at least that! I dont have a problem with the trackpad...just the keys, i'm unable to duplicate the problem right now, but it seems to happen when I open msn messenger...but right now it's working fine..

btw anyone have any good im clients I can use for mac? i'm looking for a trillian type...msn messenger for mac blows hard.

My wife's MacBook's "F" key feels sticky... Like it doesn't want to spring back up.
My MacBook Pro doesn't have any issues. (not that you asked... just tossing it out there)

I have the same problem with the keyboard. now, I just type a lil harder. you get used to it after a while.

I still don't like the keyboard. I have small fingers.

I was in-store today testing a few product options - and you know - I experienced this same keyboard issue with both display Macbooks.

However, I didn't find this so with the MBP's I tested. I'm really keen on the Macbook - however as my livelihood depends on my ability to churn documents out often in the field without access to an ext keyboard - it has me thinking twice I must admit.

Could just be (the lack of responsiveness) only related to those two machines in the shop (and yours khurram) - considering I've only access to resellers in my area (and it's hit and miss with shop assistants and their product knowledge) - and there was no input as to why this was occurring on the 2 MB's they had.

I did assume it may have been RAM related though - but as the MBP's had different configurations - I couldn't really compare. As an aside - the MBP's were running really hot - the MB's were just warm under the same loads.

I had a problem with my left arrow key not registering keystrokes unless I gave the it some pressure after the key physically clicked down. Brought it to the apple store, they replaced the keyboard/trackpad, and now it's fine.

Mine a few of the keys feel a little different, but when I type at speed I don't noticed it so for me it's pretty much perfect.

Well, luckily the problem hasn't sprung up again...

For me, it's te H key, must hit it ard sometimes to make it register.
