Hello,
I finally found my disks for Freespace: The Great War and was looking around for the Freespace 1 port .app to OS X. I've looked around trying to find the application launcher on the web, only problem is tigital.com and his .mac address have disappeared from the web. :( I have the disks, so all I need is the ported launcher for OS X. Does anybody have this file? I really don't want to have to purchase Freespace 2 to get to play the Freespace 1 missions if I already have the Freespace 1 disks! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can find FS2_Open at Hard Light Productions. The Great War will not supported anymore. You need to have FreeSpace 2 retail and the FS2_Open binaries and the MediaVPs. But seriously when you have seen FS2_Open, you don't want back to FS1. Oh and with a little search on the net you can find the FS2 retail disc images (disc1.rar, disc2.rar and disc3.rar). There is also the FSPort which resembles The Great War and very recently is Silent Threat: Reborn released. Need to watch that last!!

Freespace 2 is considered Abandonware. It is no longer officially supported. You can go ahead and download it off the web but we cannot post you a link to download it from or help you download it.

I have Freespace 2 and love how much it has been improved.
