I'm having a recurring problem where the left clicks are interpreted as right clicks (on safari, it keeps trying to open the dialogue window), and the scroll wheel zooms my entire screen in. It's not just the mouse, because I swapped it out for a different mouse and had the same problem. It's something that comes and goes.

Am I alone?

Sounds like your CTRL key is getting stuck. It might look like it is up on the keyboard, but the contact is still down.

Is this the problem?

I agree with iShater, it sounds like it's a problem with your keyboard,

If you hold down the ctrl key you get the actions you describe, left click becomes right click and scroll to zoom.

Thanks so much guys. Sounds like it's a problem with the control key. I'm a 10+ year mac user, and had no idea that the control key allowed you to zoom the monitor like that.
