when I am taking a group-fie using front camera, only the one nearer to the phone fully in focus. The other ppl will be out of focus or blurry. To describe it better, when two people stay behind the one who holding the phone to take group-fie, the two people behind will become blurry. Not as blurry as the portrait one but still very visible image quality drop. My XR is running the latest iOS already so I don’t think it’s beauty gate problem. I am not using portrait mode too. Anyone have this problem too?

This is not a problem. That’s how autofocus is supposed to work. Whoever is in front is the main subject and others aren’t as important that’s why blurred out a bit. Try to tap on the other people on the screen to change the focussing angle and that might fix it.
