My AirPods frequently stop playing even though the audio source (Podcast / Music Offical Apps) still plays.

Not much development here in a while but I’m on the lastest beta (9 or 10 i’m forgetting) and my Airpods are dropping regularly I have to unpair them and pair them again regularly. I had no such issues with previous betas.

Anywone expériencing similar issues in current beta?
Also is there any way to see which beta you’re running?

I had this problem with a few previous betas but not the latest. My problem now is if I pull one AirPod out, say to talk to a cashier, when I put it back in 30 seconds later the music doesn’t automatically start playing again. I have to pull my phone out and start the music again. Usually it starts on its own.

FWIW, I’ve been having this issue since 11.2 or so and every single release afterwards. The only thing that fixes it is switching to iPhone speakers and then back to Airpods as the output, which is a temporary fix really. Is it the same for you?

I’ve had Airpods replaced by Apple and unpair/re-paired them a few times, however, the issue still persists.

Hoping iOS12 fixes this.
