okay, maybe not a huge problem a but after i updated to itunes 4 all of the text in the library isn't anti-aliased anymore. the only thing that is anti-aliased are the menus and just the defaulted "60's Music" playlist. wtf? I just wanted to know if anyone else has the same problem

Try deleting the iTunes 4 library; leave the iTunes 3 library in the iTunes folder-- iTunes will re-import the library (you won't lose any ID tags or artwork)... I've noticed iTunes 4 likes to corrupt it's own library, this might help you. Also try reparing permissions...

You need to adjust your font smoothing. Its under Sys Pref's>General. Drop it down to 8.

I'm still having the samw problem with the sound dropping out. This problem was happening to a lot of people in iTunes 3 (not sure about earlier versions) and it is still happening to me in iTunes 4.

To fix this problem, I just pause the song and then hit play again and the sound comes back on. Adjusting the volume doesn't fix it.
