Yes. Freezing is a common issue and you could search the iMac forum to find a few threads like this. My iMac has frozen 13 times today as of writing, and probably will freeze very soon again.
hasn't froze once...............none, nada, zip.
Nope. It does the same as everyone else's iMac with problems. I just woke up, came here to write this post and it took me 6 restarts to do itMy 20" hasn't missed a beat since I got it, on 9th August.
I've never heard of anybody mentioning a problem with condensation though. Where did you hear this?
Blimey. Are you sure you haven't got a memory or hardware problem there?
I keeping reading about all the problems with the 24".....freezing, monitor condensation, color calibration, etc...
Is anyone experiening these problems with the new 20' iMacs?
Laszlo
I have occasional freezing on the 20" iMacs in both Windows and OSX. In OSX the freezing is repeatable and rare. In Windows it is not repeatable but more common. Under both situations it happens when the video card is under heavy use. The new 7.10 ATI drivers help under Windows. I am hoping that 10.4.11 will help the OSX freezing problems.
I have no condensation problems and the screens look great after calibration. Colour gradient is minimal.
PS The freezing problems were the last thing that was stopping me from buying. Once Apple acknowledged it and promised a fix, I was happy to proceed.
