At My Mac
Just wondered if anyone in Europe who ordered either iLife 06 or iWork 06 via The Apple Store of their respective country has received their software yet?

Checking my account it's showing a Feb 1st dispatch

I ordered iLife '06 from the UK store the day after it was announced & it was delivered a couple of days later.

Which store have you ordered from?

I also ordered mine from the UK online store the day it came out, and it got delivered a few days later, with no problems.

Since when is the UK in Europe? :p :p :p :p

I ordered from the French Apple Store. Perhaps the delay is due to them printing the packaging/documentation in other languages.

Thanks for the update. Next time I'll get my UK buddies to order it for me ;)

Since the UK joined the EU, of course the UK is in Europe. You can even drive directly from England to France, so nowadays even the water is trivial!

That's probably the reason for the delay in non-English-speaking countries as the German versions haven't shipped either.

Actually the UK was in Europe a long time before that. :p

Yep, I don't think it's shipping anywhere outside the UK.
My shipping date to Italy was the 3rd of February... I cancelled the order and I am flying to London next week... I'll buy it there.

Had a humour bypass? You've GOT to be from the UK....;)

All the Forum members from France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Netherlands, etc. know why I'm having a laugh!

NO YOU CAN'T (you can only take a train).

Just felt like shouting:rolleyes:

I got iLife 06 with my dad's new iBook that he ordered on the 13th of january at the Belgian online Apple Store. iLife 05 was installed on the iBook and a DVD for iLife 06 was included in the box.

Apple Store Norway have "Shipping within 2 weeks" for iLife '06. Like you said, it's probably a localization thing.

Europeaness is a state of mind. Many of the afformentioned peripherals are closed in the UK.

Italian versions are still two weeks out according to the site (it was 3weeks plus shipping when I attempted an order last week). I ended up ordering them from the USA and shipping to a friend in my home office the the USA and then shipping it via DHL here. It took only a week and ended up costing less. So far I like iPhoto's updates!

Reminds me of the that famous newspaper headline: "Fog over the Channel - Continent cut off"

I ordered it the day it was announced on amazon.com, had it shipped to a U.S. friend who sent it to me by air mail (w/o the retail box).
