Am I the only person irritated by developers that create icons that don't fit the iPhone appearance?

If you look above there are examples of what I am talking about the black fill without any border. Quickoffice has a diamond that doesn't look good anywhere!

Doesn't bother me. My pet peeve is apps that have odd names. Like 'Sol Free' and 'reMovem free' in your example. There are some others. Not a huge deal but it's my little bother.

Thanks for the therapy session :)

I'll just deal with it or return to my jailbreak ways...

I like the icons with a different shape!
What annoys me, though, are app names that are too long to fit under the icon.
For example "Grays Anatomy" looks like this:
GrayA...tomy

It would be better if it simply said "Grays."

IMO those icons ruin the layout of the springboard.
I wish apple would go back to where they rejected apps with such icons.

I hate odd shaped icons.

I also hate black icons because they blend into the black background and look terrible... yes, I'm looking at you Clock and JaaduVNC!

I think Spaz has an OCD problem as well... :D

I am obsessive compulsive about a lot of things, but this is just common sense. I like how Apple designed their icons in rounded squares and I think the developers should make them look the same for design and consistency's sake.

They never did that. One of the launch apps was a news app that uses a brown hat with no background as its icon.

Honestly don't take offense, but your life must be pretty dull and uneventful for you to not only focus on something like this, but let it bug you.

Come on...

Honestly, that seems like an offensive statement to me.

I have a very active life and icons without borders bug the **** out of me.

Huh. I misunderstood your complaint. I thought you were complaining about icons that don't fit because they are unattractive. From your example, something like DataCase.

The apps with the non-standard shape icons aren't an issue. I prefer that most apps utilize a standard design, but having a couple helps them stand out when I am flipping through pages to get to that app.
