I've been playing on bootcamp with a TF2 disc I bought for $9.99

Will I have to purchase the download for $19.99 to play on mac side today or will they just let me download with the serial code I have from the purchased Windows side disc? Just asking because it wasn't a steam download when I originally purchased on the windows side.

You're all set to download and play the Mac version when it arrives, you won't be required to purchase it again.

yep, i bought it for the pc a couple of years ago, and i'm trying to download it on the mac, but it's crawwwwwwwwwwlllllllllliiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnggggggggggg
can't download it atm :(
too slow

Me too. Damn you Steam, get some better servers.

If my usenet provider can max out my connection, you damn well better be able to...

I have installed TF2 on 3 different computers now and I bought the orange box and used that for the first computer shortly after it came out.

The rest have been threw steam. Most recent was about a month ago.

ok here's some info to help for users that already have TF2 on a different computer. You can copy a few files across massively reducing download time:

You can find you files here:

[Mac's volume] /Users/******/Documents/Steam Content
[Windows volume] /Program Files (x86)/Steam/SteamApps

Copy the following files to your Mac's Steam Content folder:

team fortress 2 client content.gcf
team fortress 2 materials.gcf
team fortress 2 content.gcf

If you do not have Portal or Half-Life 2 on your Mac, you'll want to copy these files:

source sounds.gcf
source models.gcf
source materials.gcf
source 2007 shared sounds.gcf
source 2007 shared models.gcf
source 2007 shared materials.gcf

This should save you a massive amount of time when downloading!! Hope it helps!!
