I believe that entrust is one of the security certificate companies that verifies secure web addresses. And Akamai is a global web mirror that many many companies use for distribution. I believe that Apple themselves use both.

Crowd science is a analytical analysis site. Other sites probably imbed ad tracking cookies that report back to crowd science for market research. No biggie there.
