I went to one of those iPhone screen repair shops with an iPhone that needed some work. I got the parts to fox it and went on my way .one of the things he gave me and said it would help for unlocking is this black price of plastic for under the Sim. My phone works just fine with any carrier and any Sim .what is it?

What's that?
A SIM Interposer is a device that sits between your SIM and the phone. It fools the phone into thinking that it is receiving cellular signal from the carrier the device is locked to, even if that signal is coming from a different carrier.

Essentially it "unlocks" your phone so it can be used on any carrier that supports your phone.

It does this by performing a MITM (Man In The Middle) attack by intercepting your cellular signal and fooling the phone as I mentioned previously.

It is not a true unlock. Remove the interposer and the phone is still locked to the original carrier.
