Since i have been having trouble with the wifi since i have updated the iphone to 3.1.2 (and jailbroken using blackra1n and unlocked using blacksn0w) i decided to try my luck and send my iphone to apple for repairs as it is still under warrenty! (was told it were an issue with the at-xemn )

i was advised to FLASH the iphone prior to returning it to apple....does anybody know how to perform the FLASH procedure?

cheers

I don't understand what Apple need to repair, what's wrong.
Either way, just restore through iTunes

sync and backup before you do that and don't restore from backup once the process is done, just set up as new and send it to Apple. Once they send you the new one, restore that one from the last backup, that way you'll have mostly all of your data back on the iPhone.

Hi svndmvn, many thanks for your comment...

I am hoping that apple would fix/replace the iphone as the wifi is no longer working! The wifi stopped working since i have replaced the firmware from 3.0.1 to 3.1.2 and had no such luck to restore the wifi functionality!

I have jailbroken and unlocked the device and cannot repair the iphone under warrenty if apple have discovered that the device has been jailbroken!!

did a complete restore and wifi was still not working so took it back to the apple store and they were quite happy to replace the faulty unit for a new one and for free as it was still under warranty :)

got a new iphone and has working wifi and well chuffed :D
