No sadly I love lining up but i switch to Xfinity Mobile and Apple doesn't active to Xfinity. the sucky thing is i can no longer do the iPhone Upgrade Program because of it.

Don't think it will be needed this year. Last year was a long awated, flashy new generation launch. There's nothing new next week except for the larger, but considerably more expensive, phone.

October 26? Maybe. This Friday? Hell, no.

I want my bloody red iPhone already! And I expect more people will line up next month for the populist iPhone. The iPhone for the people.

A gamble. Could be there are enough for everyone, then you will feel foolish. But then again, lining up is foolish anyway. :D (just kidding)

Btw, i'm not sure I would go by the shipping estimates. That's proven to be out of sync with store availability in the past, but I don't know (Others may actually know).

I've got the order in with 9/28, but i'm thinking I may have a shot at store stock earlier. Of course then when I go to cancel it will say 'prepared for shipment'.

I most likely will at my local carrier store. I missed ordering and don’t want to wait ☺️

Probably will at my local corporate Verizon store, no overnight camping or anything ridicilous, will just go 1-2hrs before store opening I don't think there will be any line.

It’s not like years ago. Online ordering has eliminated the burden on the Customer and Apple
People you see may be people that ordered online but want to pickup in-store

Really the days of lining up at an Apple Store are primarily becoming more obsolete, because as someone else mentioned, online ordering has probably taken place and the customer can have the phone shipped to them on the same day the phone is released, sometimes in the morning depending on who the carrier. (UPS/Fed-Ex).

Yep. Lining up at my local UPS hub to grab my phone and watch.
Me too

Have no desire to get up early to stand in line with a bunch of strangers. Last year drove by a line and it looked like some third world country.

Sorry not doing it.

We are early on the UPS/Fedex route and I expect to have my MaX on Friday before 10am.

Why camp out, wait all day for a phone?

Last year when apple was rolling out the iPhone X, I just walked into a Verizon store bought an X and walked out. Meanwhile there was a mass of humanity waiting at the apple store.

Nope, I have no desire to stand in line and wait for a phone. I did that for the 6 and 6 Plus launch and it was a good experience, but the way Apple changed it since 6S and up, I don't need to line up. Since I ordered it for in-store pick with a pick up window of 15:30 - 16:00, I'll just go pick it up then and not have to wait in line.

I lined up several years for the new phones... and there was always a party atmosphere - everyone having fun, sharing food and just having a good time waiting. But as I got older, I found more pleasure is sitting home and waiting for a nice man or woman in a big brown truck to knock on my door and just hand me my phone.

Why would you take the day off work to line up and wait for hours in front of an Apple store? Some people...

I’ll get to my local Apple store about 45 minutes early for my 8am pick up reservation... that’s about it haha. Last time I camped for was the 6/6S era. Now I just do in store pickup.
