Anyone looking at MacBook Air alternatives?

I am somewhat dissappointed in this update... I was really expecting to see an increase in battery life. That was it. They could have stuck with Core 2 Duo as long as they had stronger battery life.

I am not sure if I am getting the Air. I will be going to the Mall of America sometime and right across from the Apple Store is the Microsoft Store. I think I am going to see if there are any alternatives.

I think you're right for the 13", but not the 11", apparently its battery life is 1:15 hours worse than the 'category average':

not as nice looking or slim as the Air, but the Lenovo x220 has gotten great reviews and almost 8hours of battery life just on it's standard 6 cell battery:
