I'm considering moving from the Pro Max to just the Pro. Mainly for the screen size as I think I would like to move to a smaller screen as its more pocketable, and I'm mobile all the time and don't really have need for the larger screen anymore.

My question is for those that have made this move:

- Did the smaller screen bother you? I've always used the Plus models and the Max models and was curious if the smaller screen bothered you.

- Is the battery life significantly worse? I get such great battery life on my Pro Max I'd hate to go too far backwards with the regular Pro. How has that experience been?

Any other cons to doing this? I wear a suit every day and honestly the Pro Max isn't very suit friendly. I know the cameras and specs are the same but am just curious if there are any other downsides that anyone has noticed.

Thanks!

No, no, and no. I moved from the 11 Pro Max to the 11 Pro. Love it. 11 Pro gets maybe 1 hour less of screen on time than the Max, in my usage. Love the improved handling of the smaller device and pocketability. Other than the battery life, there is no difference between the two devices.

I actually type faster on the 11 Pro vs the 11PM due to less finger travel.

I just recently did this

was mainly worried about battery life but they’ve been pretty similar for my use, which is easily lasts a day no matter how much I push it

the best thing has been the weight. Pro max is a great phone but it’s just on that “too heavy” side of things for me

Just made the switch from the Max to the Pro. After years of using the plus size phones, I just wanted to use a Phone with one hand again. I love the screen etc, but the size of the phone had become more of a hassle.

I thought about it and I still think about doing it. I guess I'm happy with both for now.

Wife got the pro, that's a great size.

I haven’t done it yet, but I’m very much considering doing it.
I’ve always been a «plus»/«Max» user, but it feels like this time (11 pro Max) they crossed a limit with the weight. For the first time, the phone simply feels too heavy. This is with a case on, as I’m reluctant to use it naked. Without a case, it’s tolerable.
I love the big screen and the excellent battery life, but the overall size, and especially the heavy weight, is starting to bother me.
I also feel that the Pro Max model offers too few advantages over the regular pro to justify the cons.
If it offered pencil support, four speakers, landscape mode for the home screen or any other “big” feature, I believe that the trade off with weight and size could be worth it.
But, the Pro Max, is basically just a blown up version of the regular Pro, with just a larger screen and a little better battery life.
So, I wouldn’t be surprised if a regular pro ends up in my line-up quite soon.
I use my MacBook, iPad or Apple TV when I need a bigger screen.
The phone is meant to be my always-around portable device. And the smaller model seems to fit that bill better.

The convenience and form factor of the smaller pro outweigh the benefits of the larger pro max screen for me. Although I find the 6.1" (XR, 11) form factor to be the sweet spot, for me. I wish the pro came in this size.

I've never had (and never will have) a Max sized phone but I can tell you that the battery life in the 11 Pro is significantly better than my X and XS were. I wouldn't worry about it.

this. Hopefully the rumors are true and the new pro will come in at 6.1”. The 11 is the perfect size for my needs, but the screen resolution is what made me stick with the pro line.
