No, not the grey icon issue. This is something I've seen two or three times, randomly. Issue still occurs if I close down the app and reopen.

I have 4 updates waiting. Whether I click on them one at a time or hit Update All, they all begin to appear to download before just settling back to 'update' status.

It's neither a 4g or wireless issue.

Anyone experienced this?

Latest released iOS, 6s plus.

Yes same here. Really annoying.

I've got it now, looks like a server issue as I can't view my Apple ID either.

I've experienced this as well. Managed though to get all but one of my updates done now through trying at various times.

Happened to me as well this morning, but it seems to me that for the last 1-2 months the App Store has been very unreliable...
Whereas before updates would always happen problem free, lately that hasn't been the case, to me at least.

Is this an "App Thinning" bug in iOS 9.1 betaX or is this also affecting iOS 9.0.2? Both my devices here are using latest beta of 9.1 so can't tell if its happening in iOS 9.0.2 as well. Perhaps they have been making the necessary changes to enable app thinning across the board.

Out of curiosity...does anyone know why the icons for updates on Oct 8 and 9 were grey? Also have problems with Adobe Photoshop Mix installing on my phone. It is on my iPad but when I try to install on the phone that circle thing goes all the way around but it never gets done. It just stays with a full circle.

I heard that the icon issue was 'an Apple server issue' but I have no idea why when it seems to be fixed those apps still seem to have no icon. One of mine is Camera+ and I go to it and there is just no icon (which is why I see the gray 'hole').

The test may be the next time one of the apps we updated on those two days gets the next update. But it's sure strange.

I don't think it's been fixed, just that it might have gotten worse at one point and then went back to what it was like before.

I was having the exact same issue yesterday, including the same issue happening with trying to download new apps, and it was driving me nuts.

What I ended up doing was going into Settings -> App and iTunes Stores and signing out of my Apple ID. I immediately signed back in and after that I was able to download new apps as well as update apps I already owned. Not sure if this will be a fix for everyone but it's worth a try? iPhone 6s Plus on 9.0.2 here.

The whole icon and download thing is weird. Sometimes I have gray icons that go away when I hit the app section of my download history. But the ones from October 9 (Etc) are dead.

Something is definitely up with the App Store.
