I've had a 2018 Mac Mini for about 2 weeks now (i7/16/512)

I notice a lot of what sounds like audio cracking when listening to music on Youtube in Firefox. I listen to in the background while performing other tasks.

It typically happens while the CPU usage momentarily steps up in the foreground app but sometimes also happens when idle.

I've never had issues before with these headphones before which I use on other devices. I also used these headphones in a nearly identical manner in a 2012 Mini with and other computers with no such cracking.

I'm listening on wireless Bose QC 35 headphones over bluetooth if that matters.

Has anyone else noticed this?

I have the same headphones. I don't use Firefox, but I have not run into this problem.

If you do a search, you will find several discussions, unrelated to the mini, about Bose QuietComfort 35 headphones and crackling or distorted sound.

My guess is that it's got something to do with the bluetooth connection.

Do you have the option to connect the phones via a connecting cable?
If so, have you tried that?
