I have my eye on one. It has to be this model because my budget won't handle it. I will be putting in 2 gb ram.

I don't really care about the whole graphics complaints as I don't do games.

But, overall, any serious problems? Is it working good for you?

Just trying to assuage last minute purchasing jitters. After all, money doesn't grow on trees.

Thanks Thanks :)

I've got the 2.0 C2D mabook with the superdrive. It's absolutely more computer than I need. I do a lot of web surfing, listen to music, write papers, watch movies, and just multitask away. Honestly even the macbook is overkill for me (not that I'm complaining). It's a great laptop and the only thing I ever complain about is the sharp edges that you might not notice if you're not constantly sitting like I am.

LOL I just bought a macbook Pro....and lack of sharp edges was the first thing i noticed..

timestoby:

For clarity's sake: some Macbook owners complain of a sharp front edge, where your wrists would rest against if you let your arms drop against the edge of the machine. Also note that repetitive stress injuries can be very, very unpleasant and good posture/typing form is almost always rewarded.

I bought my MB last November because Compusa had 2 yrs no interest on Macs. I wanted to get the 2.0 C2D, but of course all they had in stock was the 1.83 MB. My last computer had recently died, so I needed one ASAP and ended up buying the 1.83. I have been happy with it, but definitely buy more RAM, 512 is not enough! The only thing I miss is a DVD burner :(

i have a 1.8 2 c3d macbook w 2 gigs of ram and i love it. the battery lasts a long, runs everything fast enough. cant do games so well but i dont play many games so that doesnt effect me. very happy i made the purchase no regrets. i moved up from a g4 powerbook

Thats good to hear. I could probably knock 350 bucks of the total for the rig I want to put together if I go with the new mini with the same processor...but the portability edge, ease of swapping the internal HD and ram.....goes to the macbook.
The horoscope for this week says its a great time to make purchases! :D

Yeah, I'd like the superdrive too, but what the heck, and external dvd burner is cheap and can always get one later. But I'm sticking in the full 2 gigs of ram immediately.

I think I'm gonna do it. :)

Thanks
